Providing solutions: achievements in technology development and transfer

ACSys was about providing solutions for corporate and SME end-users through cutting-edge R&D in advanced information technologies. Researchers designed, developed, demonstrated and evaluated prototype systems that were intended to address specific end-user requirements.

The ACSys R&D programs were:

To shape research activities, ACSys entered into commercial arrangements with both public and private organisations. These arrangements included technology licences, contract R&D, consultancies, case studies, collaborative product development and joint ventures. ACSys was able to translate its research into profitable products and processes, and these achievements are listed under each program's entry.

ACSys also managed an Education Program to help develop human resources in computer science and information technology.
